CHISINAU (Moldova), May 2 (SeeNews) – Moldova’s agricultural production fell by 9.5% in the first three months of 2025, due to a 10% decrease in animal production, the country’s statistical office said, citing preliminary data.
Moldova’s animal production made up 97.4% of the country’s total agricultural output in the review period, the statistical office said in a press release on Wednesday.
In the first quarter of 2025, livestock production dropped by an annual 15.1%, driven by an 18.4% decrease recorded by agricultural businesses, whereas household production fell by 5.8%. Milk production saw a 0.6% uptick, while egg production inched up by 2.9%.
