The Yes argument for independence just got a lot more appetising
Nope. Not going to swap one set of populist nationalists for another.
We need Scottish independence and the border moving south to about Chesterfield.
No thanks chief
Yes to what?
Hypotheticals mean nothing.
His track record speaks for itself doesn’t it? A lazy blowhard.
Can’t wait until all those dumb ass reform voting councils get fleeced and go bust
I have more in common with the Scandis than the English at this point. Everything happening down there feels foreign to me.
Nope.
I’ll base my decisions on truths, not scaremongering.
Why does the UK have a severe case of fuck around and find out when it comes to politics? From brexit to this, it never ends
Nope, populism is bad and does not lead to good solutions.
And that applies to both reforms right wing populism and Scottish nationalists left wing (and occasionally right wing) populism.
It’s a pity that not even the SNP are ‘yes’…
Yes, good thing we don’t have any right wing maniacs in Scotland. The land of milk and honey up here…
A bad future, or a bad future from someone else.
What appetising choices.
Fully agree
Wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire
If you guys go independent, can you invade Liverpool or take us with you.
Ofcourse I want you guys to get your independence but being left alone with these nutters is scary.
Is Reform in Scotland apart from Ibrox?
The only prick they have in Norn Ireland is Jim Allister. No bitter a man you’ll ever met
Half of Scotland will vote for them too. The battle is already lost. Too many people are thick as mince. I hate to say it, but that’s the reality. No critical thinking, no care, no compassion. Just manufactured misery generators that buy shit, pay subscriptions and hate anyone outside their street. We are fuckity fucked.
Is anyone here even willing to admit people down there are fed up of labour/tory? Are you ready to tag all of the disenfranchised first time reform voters as gammons? They are not going to go away and I fail to see who in the SNP right now could stand up and talk down Farage. As worrying as it is you need to prepare for the idea of Scots voting for him.
99% of reform voters couldn’t name a single fucking policy of theirs, all of their votes are based on gammy lies that can be fact checked in 10 seconds
The whole “I’m alright jack” thing is why I’ve never been a big fan of independence. “Things suck so let’s leave”. Idk, I’m just blinded by idealism. But I want the largest possible groups of countries and people to be united, not divided. I would rather try fix the UK than leave it.
Independence is the only way out of being dragged along with whatever gimp Westminster decides they want
I’m well into my fifties and the majority of my life has been under Tory Westminster rule that the majority of Scotland voted against.
That’s entirely the fault of the English electorate as they make up the majority of the UK constituencies and they love right wing politicians for some reason (probably down to a class thing).
I can easily see England inflicting a Farage Reform Premiership on us at the next election and there’s fuck all we can do about it whilst we’re still part of the UK.
Yes to border control? Sure!
Unfortunately Scotland isn’t actually drastically more progressive than the rUK. We really shouldn’t be tying independence to farage.
FTP is the politics of Divide and Conquer, Stoke Hatred against Minorities, Might Is Right, Persecution of Dissent, Abolition of Opposition.
Farage, Trump and Putin may all be at different stages in the tyranny stakes, but their objectives are all the same..
I just don’t understand how they won a byelection- Jesus fuck, these people would have been better with Labour’s Mr Punchy Guy.
Still a no from me. One minute we are trying to get rid of oil the next minute that is how we will fund everything.
When I actually see the Scottish government attracting new companies and helping increase the jobs here then I may be persuaded.
Does it matter?
Everyone in Scotland could be for independence, and Westminster could still practically block it.
This is what people voted for in 2014. 🙃🙃
I wouldn’t trust Nigel farage in a 1000 lifetimes he’s a weasel.
Scottish nationalists, English nationalists, two cheeks of the same arse
Unionists would look a lot more honest if they explained in advance how they are going to justify us putting up with this than they will by telling us it’ll never happen.
I reckon if reform gets voted in in 2029 and shit hits the fan and everything turns to utter shit. The next general election after that (if there will be one) those who voted brexit in conjunction with those who voted reform at the 2029 general election should be barred from voting ever again. One quick solution to fix the country at the snap of one’s fingers.
I’m born and bred in Yorkshire. My gran was from Stranraer. I have a special place in my heart for Scots.
Run. Save yourselves.
P.s what will £300k get me on the housing market?
I currently live in Cornwall but have always regarded my time in Scotland as the best years of my life. I said to my wife today that if Reform becomes the next ruling party, we’re leaving England. These are not my people.
