Prince Harry attempted to reconnect with Prince William(Image: Getty Images)Prince Harry purposely picked a hotel just a quarter of an hour away from his estranged brother Prince William during his UK visit last month — in a bid to force peace talks.
Harry stayed at Coworth Park in Ascot, Berkshire, during his short trip for his legal battle in mid April. Harry failed to secure a meeting with The Prince And Princess of Wales and his niece and two nephews during his four day stay. The California-based former Army captain — who stepped down from senior Royal duties with wife Meghan Markle in 2020 — enjoyed meals with former school and army pals.
Harry, 40, was also snubbed by his father King Charles, who has endured a raft of medical woes, and Queen Camilla on Sunday. The Monarchs refused to alter their plans for a royal tour of Italy.

Harry had passed on messages through aides of his “hope to have a catch up in England,” an insider told The Mirror. Charles dismissed any chance of a reconciliation and or “set aside even five minutes to meet his youngest son.”

The source was adamant: “Harry is pushing hard to just meet for a moment with Wills, because he feels they can find common ground and get back on talking terms. He has vowed to not stop trying to find harmony again with his estranged UK family.”
The insider confined: “Harry has laid his cards on the table to his family that ‘I am ready to talk.’ There has been no conversations of anything length since they gathered in London for The Queen’s passing in September 2023. He picked Coworth, because it is a clear gesture of ‘hey I am just down the road.’ Charles made a decision too stick with his plans.”
The associate, who admits Harry “is very likable and genuine in his desire for a reconciliation,” worries the Duke Of Sussex is unaware of suspicions about him. From Charles down there is a real terrifying scare that Harry cannot be trusted to keep discussions between them a secret.
The source added, “It cannot be understated the hurt and sense of betrayal felt by the Royal family and aides to the King and Prince Of Wales when some of their private family problems were discussed on his Netflix doci-series and in his memoir.

Coworth Park is a short drive from Prince William and Kate Middleton residence at Adelaide Cottage — the four-bedroom home on the grounds of Windsor Castle, within Windsor Home Park.
The Dorchester owned luxury hotel is where Harry spent his last night as a bachelor at a suite with William before his 2018 marriage to Markle.
Harry flew in to London to sit in court as part of his legal challenge against the Home Secretary’s ruling that withdrew his right to police protection. He petitioned that his family’s life was threatened by the decision and they required full scale security for visits back to the UK. On Friday he lost his appeal.
