  1. I’m sure if the right person is elected in the ongoing elections in Romania, they’ll add it back.

  2. We did forge to say “thank you” :)) nevertheless, most of us do not care anymore :))

  3. Let me guess…. It’s related to Andrew Tate’s upcoming case

  4. I am not sure that anyone wants to go to the USA right now. Especially when there is a chance for you to end up in a prison on a technical error, get all your posessions confiscated and if you’re lucky, deported back.

  5. I guess all Americans in Europe should start feeling how we embrace them and respect.

Few days ago U.S. Embassy in Warsaw communicated to Poles “Don’t go illegally to USA” “Green card and visa are privileges not law guaranteed”, and a day ago Trump give his hi-five to one of the candidates in the presidential election (from PiS, as they are doing americans rimming).

Can we impose some visas on Americans in Europe? I see too much of them in Krakow, Poland.

  6. I wonder if Romanians think that anything of value was lost.

  7. First Schengen blocked by Austria and Netherlands for no reason, and now this. Congratulations western world, you are benefiting Romania’s mortal enemy here: russia

  8. Unfortunate, but Romania-based organized theft groups are becoming an issue in North America.

In Canada—especially in Toronto—they’re frequently seen on the streets running various scams: the refugee beggar scam, gold necklace scam, violin scam, parking lot scam, and, of course, distraction theft.

Distraction theft is now used as an euphonism in Canada, but if you Google it, you’ll see many if not most of the suspects have a certain type of last name.

The surge in organized crime from certain European countries actually resulted in Canada dropping the Visa waiver program temporarily during the CETA negotiations with the EU, but Canada ultimately relented to sign the trade deal.

  9. The whole EU should just add visa requirements to the Americans. They need to go to interviews to the country they want to visit, and also pay a fee for it. Why not. Not like Americans can visit a different Italy, France or Spain. 😀

  10. I just read the U.S. Department of State’s country reports on Romania from the past few years, and they led me to the following conclusion: since Romania has serious problems with widespread corruption and organized crime, I’m more inclined to believe that the U.S. authorities’ decision to revoke its participation in the Visa Waiver Program wasn’t necessarily a politically driven one. I mean, you can’t ignore the fact that many organized criminal gangs have already made their way into the U.S., where they’re causing serious damage to communities (I’ve read some articles about that in the U.S. press, especially in California). I remember seeing a report a few years ago about Romanian crime bosses operating in EU countries who built these enormous, extravagant mansions supposedly worth millions of euros, and somehow they weren’t even investigated by Romanian authorities. From what I understand, participation in the Visa Waiver Program requires strict security measures, including professional and well-organized law enforcement and judicial systems in the member country. Not to mention, Romania also has major issues with implementing human rights agreements for the LGBTQ community, who still face systematic discrimination and abuse from both the authorities and a large portion of the population.

I’m very well aware that many of you aren’t in favor of some of the current U.S. administration’s decisions, but let’s look at the facts before jumping to conclusions.

  11. I bet it’s because of Roma people illegally migrating to the US… It’s always because of them all Romanian citizens have to deal with bs like this at the end of the day…

  12. It’s probably Mafia style payback for arresting the Tates….the Tates with their background might even up as advisors for the White House.

  13. Fuck’em.

Next time I’ll have an urge to cross the Atlantic to do touristy things, I’ll go to Canada.

  14. Well THIS Canadian and his wife are coming to visit your beautiful country in 60 days. We love and support the beautiful people of romania and the rest of Europe ❤️🇪🇺🇨🇦

  15. Romania, show some strength, end the partnership and make entering Romania equally burdensome.

  16. Wouldn’t surprise me if we’re next. Just recently US embassy in Warsaw posted a note warning Poles not to go to USA illegally. The patronising tone really does it to me. It’s as if Trump administration is still stuck in the 80s when Poland was a shithole and everyone wanted to escape it.

  17. Congratulations to the people of Romania, I don’t know what you did to deserve that but it must have been great.

^(I really, really hope it’s not the elections )

  18. For good reason! Just recently, Romania sent a high profile hunan trafficker into th US.

  19. I worked with several Romanians who utilised this. There was a whole community of young Romanians who would work and live in the US for a few months. I always thought it was pretty cool.
