And in Scotland there is an increasing divide on independence/Unionism. Though I would say it’s not surprising left-wingers who happen to support Scottish independence *also* aren’t fans of the ethnic cleansing of the Israeli Government. Not many left-wing people are, no matter their views on Scottish independence. What’s an unfortunate knee-jerk to that is Unionists slapping Israeli flags in their bios and screaming everyone is anti-Semitic because they’ve always got to do the opposite of what “the nats do”. Look at the amount of “Rangers da’s” who put an Israeli flag in their Twitter name/bio and you know for a fact they have fuck all clue what is going on over there. “I see nat account condemning the Israeli Government and supporting Palestinians, I support the Israeli Government!!!”.
Then you’ve got FIFA fining the Scotland NT for simply having Palestinian flags at a football match. What’s the bets no one is getting fined for waving a Ukraine flag at a football match?
