Coogler is a giant fucking fan of traditional Irish music and maintains that a love of it in the African-American community is one of the world’s worst kept secrets, so wouldn’t read too much into it.
Sinn Fein have a movie out?
Unpopular opinion, that scene where people from modern times were dancing with people from the past and characters from the movie, all summoned by Sammy’s music was ridiculous and totally unnecessary. Rap/hip hop mixed with people from the 1930s didn’t sync well imo.Not sure what all the hype is about, I found the movie to be kind of average. Not a lot of gore for a vampire story either. Could of been much better had they focused more on the vamps/Remmicks story more so then blues music.

Btw 10/10 movie
Absolute recommend to see on the big screen
Was a fun and enjoyable movie but didn’t quite live up to the hype in my opinion. The music was great though, it’s worth seeing just for that
**SPOILERS I guess for people who might read this thread not expecting to have the film spoiled**
Remmick warned them about the KKK plot, and only wanted fellowship and communion with all who are once drained of their mortal essence.
He’s the antagonist/villain but he’s not a baddie. No sir.
The Chocktaw Vampire hunters are also an interesting choice.
This is why he made the vampires irish:
