It’s not like there aren’t already a billion other groups saying this. Politicians aren’t going to listen to this one either.
Climate action is needed because our way of living is not sustainable. This also implies that any action will have to restrict us in some way, whether that’s stuff costing more or privileges taken away. Hence any political party attempting any suggestions in that direction will lose voters, simple as that. Best case we can expect some shuffling around with things that don’t solve anything fundamentally. Bonus points if they’re tokens of goodwill that can be used for publicity, such as the plastic straw ban. “Look! We’re helping!”
