1. “Cradle-to-grave fascism” is a phrase that is used to describe the pervasive and total control of a fascist regime over all aspects of a citizen’s life, from birth to death.

   It suggests a totalitarian system that seeks to mold individuals into a specific image and suppress any dissent or individuality

2. The world in his envisioning is one where women are cattle and they wear white winged hats. Men do a hard days work for their nutrition and energy chits. There are castes, his “pure” leader class, the enforcement cast, and the worker. Everyone has a number and numbers are paired with offspring requirements.

   Oh wait that is a novel that these fuckers think is a manual…

9. My parents worked factory jobs their entire lives and sent me and my brother to college to get an education so we didn’t have to work in a factory like they did. I became senior executive at one of the major tv networks and my brother ran his own company. I spent over 40 years in television and now am looking at retirement in a few years. I’ve had a good life.

   And won’t most of these factory jobs basically be monitoring robots in automated production lines or servicing these robots?

18. While I don’t think many people would be happy with this, if factory jobs paid like they used to and allowed you to secure a future, this would be viable if not fulfilling.

19. High schools in the US spent the last 50 years setting up their students to go to college to get a better job than working in a factory. They pulled all the trades out of the high schools because the US was going to be a service based economy. Now the government is trying to send students back in time going to work in factories. I have news for them. Selling factory work to this next generation is going to be a hard sell. They want to work the least amount of hours putting in the least amount of energy for a lot more than $70k-$90k a year!!! And they can’t use their phones on a factory floor so that would be a definite no go for them!!
