Activist aid ship hit by drones on way to Gaza • FRANCE 24 English

In the middle of the night, a Mayday call from an aid ship on route to Gaza, 26 km off the coast of Malta. The conscious caught fire in international waters after being struck by drones twice. A pro Palestinian activist group, the Freedom Flatillaa Coalition, which organized the trip, reported a strike, which it says targeted the ship’s generator, breaching the vessel’s hull. 12 crew and four activists were on board at the time of the attack, but all were rescued in the early hours of the morning. In a statement, the Maltese government said it dispatched a tug to combat the fire and a patrol vessel to provide further assistance at the scene. The Freedom Flatilla Coalition has campaigned against Israel’s blockade of Gaza for years, sending multiple humanitarian aid ships to the enclave. It has accused Israel of being behind the drone attack and of violating international law. Israel has not officially commented on the allegations. More activists were due to board the vessel, among them Greta Thunberg. Now, not a single bottle of water has entered Gaza. And it’s a systematic starvation of two million people. And we all have a moral responsibility to act against that and to do our part to demand accountability for war criminals and and our own government’s complicity in this genocide. Israel has blocked all aid deliveries to Gaza since March 2nd as part of an effort to pressure Hamas back into a hostage deal. The Red Cross reports humanitarian operations in Gaza are on the brink of total collapse.

There is no reason for them to stay if it is not Egyptian/Lebanese political strategy vying for Western support of a genocide that could be simply completed… Hands down, without trying (if intentional) completed.

Israel has broken all western laws and values. and has shown how hypocritical the west is that they do not see people from the global south as people or as equal and that the so-called human rights only apply to white western people. we live in a digital age everything is recorded also these crimes against humanity if in the future the balance of power shifts the west will have to answer for this.

Greta…where were you when this Muslim was driving into the Christmas market and killing Christians, where were you when 21 Christians were headed in Syria, where were you when 70 Christians were killed in Congo, where were you when over 100 Christians were killed in Nigeria recently. Why don’t you go ahead and tell Rich Arab countries to take this Palestinian refugee? Why do we Christians have to get involved in this while their people don’t take them as refugees and give them food and shelter? Why do you think that is?
