I’ve been using this service since a few years ago but recently I only see empty stations everywhere even at night. It can happen that all bikes are in use at use when I check. Anyway, does anyone know what’s happening? Are they slowly killing the service?

  4. so publibike switched app at least in Zurich. Too be fair tho in Lausanne they don’t seem to appear in the app

  5. Classic issue with most public bike companies. It’s a very hard model to manage because people will treat those things like shit and they are often the target of vandalism. The bikes themselves are expensive too, with belts instead of chains, internal gear hubs, and electronics… Less expensive to maintain and more reliable, but expensive at first, which makes vandalism that much more of an issue.

  6. Use Bird as a much better managed alternative and concept (free float within Lausanne but parking limited to bike allocated spots).
