As official ceremonies concluded in Warsaw, Tusk issued a strong reminder on social media, referencing the 3 May 1791 Constitution – Europe’s first modern constitutional document.
Donald Tusk referred to President Andrzej Duda’s final Constitution Day speech, urging citizens to reflect on the presidential oath of office.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Tusk said: “As we listen to President Duda’s final 3 May address, let us remember the meaning of the words: ‘I solemnly swear to remain faithful to the provisions of the Constitution.’ Let us choose a president who will remain true to that oath.”
