Israel reopens key roads as firefighters continue to battle blazes • FRANCE 24 English

It’s Israel’s largest fire in a decade and has already burned about 130 square kilometers in the Jerusalem area since it broke out Wednesday around midday. Firefighters said they now got it under control and highways that were shut have reopened. Earlier, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the priority was stopping the fire spreading to Jerusalem and that every available tool was being used. A number of countries including France, Serbia, and Spain also sent firefighting aircraft answering an Israeli call for help. Thousands of residents in at least five communities were evacuated west of Jerusalem as a precaution Wednesday, including Uval, who pointed the finger at a lack of preparation by authorities. It’s just very sad because uh we knew the weather. We we kind of knew that will happen and still we feel like uh they weren’t ready enough with the planes that can drop large amounts of water. Rescue agency Megan said it had treated two dozen people for smoke inhalation and burns and firefighters warned that there was still a risk that the strong winds could reignite the remaining hotspots. Honestly, I’ve been in the service 24 years and I’ve been through many fires. There’s no doubt this is one of the toughest I’ve seen with a crazy rate of spread. Fanned by the winds and high temperatures, the fires led to the cancellation of several Independence Day events. Their origin is still unclear, but National Security Minister Itab Bengavir hinted that arson could be behind them.

Israeli firefighters continued to battle raging fires around Jerusalem for a second day on Thursday. Roads that had been cut off were nevertheless reopened to traffic while French President Emmanuel Macron offered “material support”. Emerald Maxwell reports.

  1. Couldn't happen to nicer people. Sadly, this will do no harm, Israel is protected by the world, unlike Gaza. This isn't arson – just high winds and Israeli arrogance

  2. STILL, this is not what I would qualify as proof for the existence of ANY gods!

An inability to respond to our own species' attacks on "The Biosphere" (what we are from) only proves that there are MANY people-primates
(the "Homo communia") that believe in the existence of gods- as any other approach would require these land-mammals with big brains (hardware) to choose to undergo an "Homo sapien" type of self-actualization and maturation-process (operating-system and software)!

As THE Doctor of Humanics, I know that it is far too late for the species that I share DNA with to undertake this form of DNA-potential manifestation as their cognitive-pathologies, born of a variety of "human-domestication-syndromes," have now passed ALL tipping-points! 🙁

Indeed, it is a very challenging time in history to be the ONLY ONE of my kind!
