Hello, last year Hamburg wasser installed these new digital meters. I need to communicate them the correct reading to recalculate my tariff, and I'm not sure what numbers I should communicate. Should I put just the number before the comma, like the old meters? And since I need to insert 5 numbers, would it be in this case 00003? Thank you very much!!

apparently the website even tells you exactly what to do …
Exact. 00003,718m³ – But I wonder why you need to add the zeros
It‘s 3 Thousand cubicmeters…

It’s pretty straight forward.
Die komma is a decimal point, so that would be 3.718 cubic meters or 3718 Liter
Tell them it reads 3,7 cbm
3,718 m^3
3,718
