So is it a case that we all need to just do with less going forward? I mean humans are consuming far too much on the planet, flying too much, buying too many things… Is it only natural that our spending powers etc. have to be curtailed sooner or later? I mean the planet is on its last legs, so I’m not sure what the solution is, but the current system of everyone working stupid jobs and wanton consumerism can’t continue forever.
A lot of people on here have been saying it’s been happening for years, so they might need to acknowledge the relative increase in living standards since then.
Why do we bother?

My weekly shop is up €30 since January.
The question is always how they adjusted for inflation to get their numbers, because there are many different ways to do this.
