  2. Denmark already tried this a couple of years ago with a way lower price (13.000 Euros), and it worked fine for them. I’m glad to see that Swedish left is learning from the Danish left.

  3. This is going to cause absolute chaos in the countries getting the migrants back lolol. These people are going to raise up housing prices and cause more homelessness, create even more corruption with their influx of cash, etc. It’s not infrequent that diaspora hurts more than they help.

  4. A lot of economic migrants don’t want to be in the host country.. they’d much rather be back at home with family and friends. They’re here because they feel they have no choice.. it’s the only way they can survive. Our immigration policy needs to take this into account.

  5. Curious if people are going to be abusing this, e.g., move to Sweden with 5 kids, maybe with a refugee claim, then immediately take the money for each person and leave.

  6. I’m not really strapped for cash at the moment, but I have some vacation time and would *really* love to visit Sweden and get paid for it. Exactly how long would I need to stay before the Swedes get sick enough of my presence to pay me to leave? Hoping I might fit it into 2 weeks…
