  1. “None of the activities of the DOGE have heretofore had any impact on the budget , the debt or the deficit.

Until Congress acts , those savings don’t really become real,” –Robert Shea, a Republican who previously worked at the White House budget office. So what was all of this chaos for?

  2. The fuck was the point then?

It’s just as impossibly stupid as the tariffs are. Yeah let’s do something massively destructive to our economy and then “take it back” before any of the imaginary benefits of it could even have theoretically happened.

All that damage, none of the benefit. We are governed by fucking imbeciles.

  3. None of the Republicans are truly standing up to Trump’s and his attempts to dismantle the government. Someitmes, a lone Republican speaks up, but that is about the extent of it.

  4. It is so Trump can place loyalists in place. Like he has been doing with his fucked up cabnet picks, only a few hundred k worse.

  5. Sure, because Republicans don’t want to lose one of their favorite punching bags. They will want it back for something to demagogue and run against in the future.

  6. It’s not about cuts for Elon, it’s about stealing state secrets.

  7. If it’s not permanent, then they have to come back immediately right now.

  8. So, there’s no point to all of this? I thought they said they would shrink the government? How did that idiot get elected again?

  9. Watch out, Senate, Susan Collins is Very Concerned ™️!

  10. So with the buyouts and severance packages paid, the amount they will need to pay to recruit new people and train them, seems like DOGE is the definition of waste as it accomplished the complete opposite of what it was stated to do.

  11. They’re trying to squeeze $5 trillion in tax cuts for the 1% through, but it’s freaking out the bond markets so they want to offset those tax cuts, but they can’t because we’re still nominally a democracy.

  12. IMPEACH TRUMP. Until then nothing anyone in congress says matters.
