“One of Britain’s biggest fare dodgers, who owes £30,000 in unpaid fines for train fare evasion, was allegedly stopped without a ticket on the morning of his court appearance”

I think this guy has an instagram account talking about doing this. I’m sure I saw him on Reels trying to fare dodge from London to Edinburgh

Not sure why the Torygraph would think he’d buy a ticket to get to court.
Tbh public transport should be free and not there for overseas owners and shareholders to make a lot of money.
Let’s just be honest. We need to crack down on this behaviour – if they’re citizens then hit them in the wallet or prison, if not they need to be deported (without excuses).
You want to know why tickets are so expensive? Well it’s not this guy, it’s mismanagement and share holder bonuses.
Extortionately priced trains that are usually late, cancelled, replaced, and / or you can’t get a seat due to overcrowding. Yea, my sympathy is not with the rail company.
>Charles Brohiri owes £30,000 and will be sentenced in August for 36 counts of travelling without paying.
They are charging him costs of **£833.33** per journey. If you didn’t think the rail companies were crooks abusing the system before, the Telegraph’s own subheading is all the evidence you need.
