Never felt unsafe when I lived in Aberystwyth at all when I was a student there (mid/ late 2010s) but the whole situation with the drug dealing has been going on since long before I was there. The place is almost half students during term time and student like drugs, duh.
Guarantee the vast, vast majority of it is weed though but so long as the government refuse to listen to listen to sensible drug reformers this will only keep getting worse. Horrible situation where arrogant politicians care more about winning elections than keeping the supply of drugs out the hands of criminal gangs.

So Feels > Facts? Down nearly 50% in a year but somehow getting worse.
Drugs are prolific in Aber. That at least is true. Not so sure about the violence other than the usual drunken bishbosh.
The only person who ever offered to sell me drugs in Aberystwyth I’m 100% sure was a cop.
