1. The ports are 100% the canary in the coal mine. Now we’re at a point where a significant portion of the market are saying the canary is going to get back up and the other half are trying to fill their pockets with pay dirt before heading to the exit.

One source I trust for this information is the [*What’s Going on with Shipping*](https://www.youtube.com/@wgowshipping/videos) channel on YouTube; the channel’s host is a former merchant mariner (both afloat and ashore), and has a Masters degree in maritime studies, and a PhD in maritime history. He started the channel during the Suez Canal accident.

   His [most recent video (May 1)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXkWbhAQK5c) says that, although shipping is down week-over-week, we still have plenty of inbound volume; the biggest problem he sees on the horizon is ensuring that we get empty containers back to China. The video is reasonably short, and worth a review if you’re planning on making financial decisions based upon vibes on social media.

4. The stock market is under the impression trump or 2/3 of congress will stop this “soon”.

   A discharge petition in house seams unlikely. Trump declaring victory and ending tariffs is a maybe. If Trump can say CI kissed my ass.

   I do not see XI kissing Trumps ass to stop this. China has internal politics. XI’s personal life prior to running the CCP was being a big fish in a small pond in the provinces of China. He probably has not kissed anyones ass in 40 years.

   Only fools are buying right now with the expectation stocks will only continue going up.

8. Of course it’s down. All the containers are going to Mexico now. Huge population of Chinese in Mexico. Makes complete sense why there is a terrible fentanyl problem here in the USA. Well, if now the Chinese are brokering deals with the cartels like the USA, which I’m sure they still do, maybe Trumps pissed off at them for fucking with china hahah.    Do yall remember back in 2019-2020 JP Morgan owned cargo ship containers getting busted with containers filled with fentanyl? That story disappeared quickly.

   What’s weird is now everyone are blaming tariffs for lack of imports but those same containers are arriving at the ports just a few miles down from San Diego haha..

   cartels are getting the containers now and the Chinese are opening up manufacturing by the droves in Mexico right now and human trafficking has exploded. Watch the show Lioness I think on Paramount. Will give you a lot of insight. In my opinion that’s probably why Trump is wanting to kick all the Mexicans out.
