  1. Beyond battlefield clashes in Ukraine, Russia actively weaponises hostile narratives and false images, shaping international perceptions of its colonial war.

Oksana Zabuzhko is a Ukrainian writer, public intellectual, and feminist literary scholar whose works have been translated into over 20 languages. In 2023, she was named one of the BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women in the World, and in 2024, she joined the jury of the Berlin International Film Festival.

In this post, we share Oksana Zabuzhko’s key arguments on why Russian and Ukrainian cultures cannot engage in dialogue until the war ends, what sets Russian imperialism apart, and why democratising Russia is impossible without its defeat in the war.

Since the full-scale invasion began, supporting our team and gathering donations has become more challenging as we, like everyone else in Ukraine, focus on fundraising for our defenders. Now, we turn to you—the international community and supporters of Ukraine—to help us continue producing vital stories that not only support Ukraine’s fight against invasion but also remind the world of the value of freedom.

  2. Russia will be defeated if they continue this path. There is no alternative with US and Europe’s support. Let’s see if the enemy will make their move on Poland or Finland next. I think the people in Russia should be questioning Putin’s leadership and his actions. Remove this insane man and let’s return freedom and peace. The alternative is not looking bright for Russia
