  2. The most resourceful Americans will make it to Europe and they will adapt and contribute. Good luck to the rest. There will be ample opportunities at the assembly lines in the new manufacturing companies in America, so as long as you don’t mind a little hard manual labor at the assembly lines, y’all will be fine. The work will make you free.

  4. I have been working with US Americans since 1991 and to be honest, I don’t really need them on the European workforce platform.

    Their over-self confidence, their two faced behaviour and their general pushyness will not be missed if they stay in the US.

    Clearly not every US American employee is like that, but the “Be loud or you’re out”-mentality is instilled from a very young age and it is seriously tiring.

    Life in Europe is simply better. It’s easier, and you get so much more time to live it away from work.

  9. The answer to the worlds political problems cannot be up and move to Europe unfortunately, its just not feasible long term. Americans are going to have to learn how to fix their problems at home (with Europe’s help if they ask for it), they’ve done it before and they can do it again.

  11. I have family doing exactly this. They leave in two weeks. The truth of the matter is requires a good deal of money to pick up and move to Europe. Most Americans will not have that option.

  20. Is it just me or do we really need 57 year olds that look to retire here? How will their medical expenses be paid when they get older? 

    If they move here when they are 57, they will only work for a few years. Then get supported by the social security net we have here.

  22. The number of people actually acting on this is minuscule. Remember last time he got elected and all the people that said they move?

    Also, it’s not that easy to”just” to move somewhere. To gain residency is not easy in most desirable countries. Easiest for an American would be Mexico (yes, I know its not Europe) .

    I have an EU and a US passport and decided last year to go to a 3rd option. Tons of better places out there!

  24. As a business broker in Greece can confirm. Trump policies gave a boost on US people looking to invest in EU. That’s the only good thing that came out of this.

    Crumbling infrastructure
    Crumbling economy
    Crumbing education system
    Crumbling justice system
    Crumbling healthcare system
    No chance of me ever affording a house in my lifetime.
    Oh and I am on the hook for trillions of dollars of debt.

  32. Left 9 years ago with my 2 young daughters and haven’t returned since. They are EU citizens now and only feel European.

  33. I’m amongst them. I now have my EU passport, my house is for sale, I will be quiet and respectful and assimilate as best as I can
