Red Sebastian’s Eurovision journey has officially begun. Today, he set foot for the first time on the grand stage of the St. Jakobshalle in Basel, where later this month he will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
Upon arrival, Red Sebastian received a warm welcome from fans, crew, and media. Under the watchful eye of Eurovision executive producers Reto Peritz and Moritz Stadler – both appointed by the Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR – he began an important milestone: his first rehearsal on the Eurovision stage. For Red Sebastian and his team, it was a special moment. “This is the stage, the ground where I hope to make history” he said emotionally.
It marked his first encounter with the impressive arena – and, most importantly, the stage where his performance will come to life. During this first rehearsal, Red Sebastian finally had the opportunity to experience his full act – including lighting and visuals – exactly as it will appear on television. Tension and excitement were palpable within the Belgian delegation, who were also warmly welcomed in Basel. While no official images of the rehearsal have been released yet, Eurovision_news did share an early glimpse of the act. Red Sebastian himself described it as a “red rave club” – a powerful blend of energy, light, and style. True to the concept, his outfit is entirely red – something fans already caught a glimpse of during the outfit reveal on his Instagram.
On stage, he is joined by three dancers, amplifying the performance’s dynamism. Behind the scenes, backing vocalist Lani Pellegrini– one of Red Sebastian’s closest friends – provides vocal support. In the coming days, further rehearsals and press moments will follow. Red Sebastian is eager to refine his act and surprise the audience during the semi-final on 13 May.
