1. Azerbaijan ethnically cleansed 120,000 Armenians from their ancestral homeland in what IAGS described as a ‘genocidal crime’.

   > Mishchenko extended congratulations to Azerbaijan for what he described as the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity, calling it “the greatest achievement, a holiday for the Azerbaijani people” and highlighting it as an example for Ukraine amid its own territorial challenges with Russia.

   > During his remarks, Mishchenko praised the current development of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations and expressed gratitude for Baku’s aid, particularly in rebuilding energy facilities and infrastructure. “I recently made a working visit to Azerbaijan. We held consultations at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy, and Energy, as well as the State Oil Company. We discussed various projects. We highly appreciate the assistance provided by Azerbaijan” he stated.

   > Mishchenko emphasized that these initiatives are carried out on the personal instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, adding, “This is a matter of pride for us: the president highly values the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan”.

2. Could they not find any other example?There are tons of countries who have successfully liberated their territory from enemies.

   But no,these guys had to cite the example of Azerbaijan.Azerbaijan commited ethnic cleansing after it’s successfull reconquest of those territories.This statement by Mischenko has hilariously bad optics.

   I don’t think Azerbaijan’s methods are something that anyone should try to emulate.

3. I wonder if they will retract or apologize for this rather awkward statment. I also wonder if European nations like France will respond to it, given their vocal support for Armenia.

   One thing I am certain of though, is that Putin will have shit eating grin hearing about this.

4. What a shockingly poor example…one based in ethnic cleansing…the beheading of civilians and the blatant theft of land far beyond the ‘disputed’ territory.

   Ukraine says this stuff and it’s clear that they are as ready foe peace as Russia is.

5. Really? Azerbaijan? The country that invaded Armenia with the assistance of Turkey and began ethnically cleansing Armenians from the captured territory? That’s your big success story? That’s who you wanna model Ukraine on? Jesus Christ dude. It’s all scumbags and genocidaires in every seat of power everywhere, huh?
