Can completely see the NHS and it’s mental health division ignoring a report that someone might be a danger to their son. Never met a more incompetent and procedure driven group in my life
> Mr Roe had attempted to contact the authorities to express his concern about the condition of his wife, who had previously been sectioned in 2022, but no action was taken to prevent her from picking Zac, from Andover in Hampshire, up from school on the day of the fatal crash.
??? unsure why he didn’t drive over to pick up his son himself? The article doesn’t give enough info here.
5 years is laughable for the driving manner and the killing
Heart wrenching, with the father already reporting her beforehand and having already been sectioned & the court acknowledging her mental health after the fact.
She killed her son, but all 3 were let down by the system & saying “She knew what she was doing” is just painting over that
There’s such little information here (probably for good reason) that I’m left blaming the ludicrous lack of attention on mental health.
Just so very sad.
Don’t know why so many people are claiming a mental health problem was the cause of her bad driving. I see people driving like this almost every day.
She was doing 75mph on a reasonable straight, flat A road. That’s not unusual behaviour at all. Willing to bet plenty of people have had near misses in similar circumstances.
But stick a speed camera on that road and the entire area will be crying like bitches.
Poor lady she was let down. By the entire system. Poor kid and his family
