Drozd leads the team with four goals in the tournament.

Guatemala all but eliminated host Seychelles with a 4-3 victory on Saturday. Miguel Gonzalez had all four tallies in the come-from-behind win, including the game-winner just two seconds into the third period. Seychelles had taken a 3-1 lead late in the first period before the Guatemalans came back to tie it with 1:17 left in the opening stanza. Gonzales has five of the team’s six goals so far.

Belarus, ranked No. 5 in the world, was one of four teams to qualify through the UEFA qualifying tournament in Cádiz, Spain, last October. Guatemala gained entry with a second-place finish at the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship in Nassau, Bahamas, in March. The 50th-ranked club is making its debut appearance at the World Cup while Belarus is in its fourth and comes off a fourth-place finish, its best ever, in the 2024 event in Dubai.
