  1. If you hate EU that much, what the fuck are you doing there in the first place?

  2. The first question has to be:

How many percent of the people eligible to vote in these countries actually voted ?!

I have feeling the numbers are actually be pretty low

You cant blame for example “THE diaspora in Germany” if 74.4% hypothetically represents only like 20% of them.

Edit: In fact its ca 16.5%

  3. Same questions goes to all the Turkish people living in Germany, but voting for Erdogan. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

  4. Because they want their country to stay poor, so the money they earn abroad is worth more when they send it back home.

They don’t have to live with the consequences of their vote, yet they influence the future of those who do.

While they enjoy the benefits of living in prosperous countries, they support policies that keep their homeland stagnant.

Selfish, ignorant and hypocritical. And fucking sad.

  5. George Simion’s nationalist and eurosceptic stance, supported by his recent electoral victory, aligns with a broader trend of far-right politics gaining ground in Romania, which could impact Romania’s relations within the EU and NATO. This context suggests that voting for Simion may reflect a desire for a more nationalist approach, but it also raises concerns about potential isolationist policies.

  6. Its because the right knows how to manipulate the stupid masses, just lie to them about any stereotype and people will believes you. We are in a time of past intellectualism

  7. Easy to explain. Romanian communities are rooted in close connection with romanian christian churches and like all hypocrites they hate Western values because they always associate them with decadence. Christo-fascist political views will always be embraced by people who fear and have anxiety about knowing that across the street some girls might be kissing.

  8. People always complain about people outside of a country influencing the vote but they don’t realise that people move because they are currently unhappy with the state of their nation, these people most likely were unhappy with the prior government, moved country and see Simion as a positive change to the nation

  9. So, do you all still think Georgescu ‘stole’ the last election, winning 23% of the first round vote? This round, the right won 40%. Seems Georgescu’s support was genuine.

  10. It doesn’t affect them so it’s ideological

  11. 1) People who don’t live in a country should not be allowed to vote for that country.
    2) Who is responsible to ensure that all votes, from Romanians in Germany for example, are valid? Who makes sure that nothing illegal happens on the transport of the ballots between Germany and Romania? Wouldn’t it be quite easy for a foreign agency to smuggle in falsified ballots or to let ballots disappear?

  12. The only thing I see here is that the EU must find a way to turn off the tap to all member states that sabotage common policies.
It’s one thing to dissent, to work for your country, it’s another what Orban and co. do.

If they don’t want a common policy, they won’t want my/our money either, right?

No more internal threats. If there is no other way to convince them, let them manage without our money.

    I don’t want to keep Putin’s or Trump’s Sith ass-kissers.

  13. Can we finally dispel the myth that expats/ migrants are progressive, educated, ideologue asylum seekers?

This is not LA with an Iranian community that fled theocracy for refuge in secular society. Most intra-EU migrants are NOT the winners of society. They do not migrate for ideology and dignity of both sexes but for money. I mean that as no disrespect, but if you are a doctor in a private hospital in Romania for example, why would you move to Germany?

Likewise TURKEY. The secular people are still there because they are skilled and running the place! They just don’t have the numbers to win elections. The German Turks descent from people that are FAR from elite.

Outside of big world cities and capitals, most migrants from “middle income countries” do largely stay in their countries. Working class people leave.

There is middle class pretty much everywhere.

  14. Easy. They voted anti establishment. Sick and tired of same politicians. This is not the voters fault, it’s the fault of politicians in power.

  15. They think they punish the political estabilishment but at same time they punish themselves , they don’t know what they do because majority have no studies , they are strawberry pickers

  16. Because Balkan people are similar to Americans, believe in too much bullshit on media and conspiracy theories are running wild (I am originally from Balkans)

  17. Same energy as Russians living in Estonia supporting Putin. A lot of them have never lived in Russia and only go there for short visits. There’s a disconnect where their perception of the country is entirely shaped by Russian propaganda; so they only ever hear good things about it.

  18. These kinds of shenanigans are why I don’t vote anymore for anything. It’s just no use, we’ve already passed the point at which the crazy/idiots outnumber the rational population. It is sad, but it is what it is. I’ve decided to step back, sit down and enjoy my popcorn as this shitshow hits the fan.

If we deserve a stable world, the population will, maybe, turn around. If not…well, then let it burn.

  19. You won’t get an answer here I’m afraid. Most of Simion’s voters can barely read.

  20. Ita really easy, they live in western countrys where they are free to do whatever they want. They get good money and have a decent living in those countrys. Then they take their 2-4 week vacation and everything is really cheap in their home country. So they think everything must be great, atleast that’s what my turkish colleague once said when we talked about the Erdogan voters.

  21. They got sick with the good life they built in EU and wanna try out rusia. I am also part of Diaspora, but the green one.

    I am disgusted.

  22. This is a question that can’t be answered by us on reddit. The ones who voted for Simion can be found on tiktok where brainrot is expanding and common sense is lacking. Reddit requires you to know how to read due to all the letters and texts here, they prefer videos.

  23. Blasted with RU / CN / oligarch propaganda 24/7, low education, low IQ, consequences free vote ( if it goes bad, which it will, someone else will pay ).

  24. Do you want to cancel another election and try again until you get a result you like?

  25. Well the biggest turkish nationalists sit in Berlin and sell produce.

  26. Interesting that you can see the NATO eastern flank with the green.
    Hold the line vibes.

  27. Most of them are not well educated and working in manual labour or hard jobs. Again most of them didnt want to leave the country but they were forced due to a lot of regions having a low amounth of jobs.

Yesterday they were filming in voting places in Italy and Spain and some people started crying that they want to go home and are tired to live among foreigners.
