  1. Wait wasn’t it Corbyn that was going to take us back to the 1970s?

Mad ol jam man clearly has much more influence over the Tories than we thought

  2. hopefully people will still bring this up in 40 years time as a anti-tory gotcha like they do with some fucking bins being left out under callaghan

  4. Back to when people belived in the tories for some reason soon everyone will be on strike and all nationalised companies will be sold off

  5. I might quibble on the title. He said this year would be bigger than any single year in the 70s, but that the 70s had multiple years. So same “scale” is perhaps misleading.

  6. Back to being the sick man of Europe again. France managed to cap price rises at 4% with EDF, compared to 54% rises by EDF in the UK, with similar issues with other providers. The government will never intervene as they hate the idea of a nanny state, they will expect the community and charity to pick up where they have failed.

  7. And unfortunately, we’re going to still be stuck with the shitty tuneless music and drab, plain-white utilitarian designs of the 21st century, and woke culture. Like the 1970s, but worse in almost every way.

  8. Aye, my energy provided emailed me saying they will update my direct debit from £100 to £150 because they fear I’ll be in debt by the end of next year.

It’s nice of them to just decide shit like that.
