Although Cyprus’ first technical rehearsal took place yesterday, the official photos were released today by the organizers — as is customary for all delegations. Cyprus’ representative, Theo Evan, took to the Eurovision 2025 stage for the very first time, bringing with him a sense of mystery, energy, and a distinctive visual concept designed by Sergio Jaen.
Theo Evan, accompanied by his four dancers, performed “Shh,” a song rich in symbolism and artistic expression. The staging draws inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic Vitruvian Man and focuses on the interplay between order and chaos. From what we can gather through the first released photos, the performance features geometric shapes, symmetrical movement, and stark contrasts between light and shadow. Central to the staging are two large scaffold towers, which are moved throughout the performance to create shifting shapes and powerful visual imagery.
Fan reactions on social media have already been positive, with many calling it one of Cyprus’ most artistically ambitious entries since Eleni Foureira’s 2018 performance.
Theo Evan’s second rehearsal is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, at 19:05 cet.
