A lot of (smaller) US movies also rely on tax breaks given to them by the country/state where they are filming for a project to be viable in the first place.

Hollywood isn’t financially competitive. They need to sort their incentives.
Hopefully he’s too thick to realise that most of the US productions in Ireland are TV shows for streamers.

Ive been told that they film the floor in Ireland
This is not just an interesting headline for a lot of people in Ireland – the sector supports about 10,000 jobs and about €1bn of economic activity. Not all of that is American, but quite a bit is US production coming here because it’s cheaper than making films in the US. (Hence the tariff suggestion).
