Ukrainians lost the largest amount of soldiers per capita in the Soviet Union defeating the Nazis. The Kremlin wants people to believe it was “russians” but it wasn’t. That’s what we should be celebrating. What we should be REMEMBERING is the russians DID make an alliance with the Nazis and the decision to invade Poland and Finland. Nothing has changed in Mordor.
I think it’s only fair that UK soldiers march in Ukraine in remembrance of Victory in Europe Day. The only thing is they might have to stay for a little while because we can’t have them travelling to much.
I hope, in the not to distant future, a small contingent of British forces join the massed Ukrainian forces in a Victory in Ukraine parade in Kyiv!
In the meantime, we proud to have you in ours! I believe the only Non-Commonwealth nation to take part.
Edit: Some NATO countries were also represented, but not to the level that Ukraine was.
I believe the Ukrainians should be offered to join as a nation awarding the Victoria Cross to its system of decorations.
Heaven knows they’ve demonstrated the valour.
I look forward to Ukraine’s Victory Day. Because you will WIN.
Glory to Ukraine.
I was watching this live about 30 or so minutes ago and saw, as the Ukrainian soldiers marched past the royal box, King Charles stood and saluted them.
Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
Our crowds in London gave them an enthusiastic round of applause and cheers as they approached the Palace down The Mall.
Thank you, european Allies, for ending Nazism 80 years ago, so I, a German, can be free today.
excellent
Why is it today and not on the 8th?
Saw this on BBC an hour ago. Seeing the Ukrainian soldiers marching and being applauded wildly and saluted by the king, goosebumps!
