GLASGOW, Ky. – With summer right around the corner, being trained and certified in CPR can mean the difference between life and death.

According to the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, approximately 350,000 people experience out-of-hospital cardiac arrest each year. Choking hazards and cardiac emergencies can affect anyone, making CPR training a critical skill for all ages.

One Glasgow business, Arrow Safety, is working to change the narrative by sharing life-saving knowledge across the community.

“But anybody can go into cardiac arrest,” says Drew Hinton, CEO and founder of Arrow Safety. “These are very basic skills that even somebody with no medical background can learn and use to save a life.”

Kentucky’s Occupational Safety and Health Program requires businesses with eight or more employees to have at least one CPR-certified individual on staff. Hinton encourages everyone to consider training, emphasizing that it’s an easy, valuable skill that could save someone’s life.

If you are interested in becoming certified, Arrow Safety is hosting an upcoming CPR- AED and First aid training opportunity. For more information on how you can sign up, click here.
