  1. The company that has Americans paying twice the price for their order between delivery fees, service fees and forced tips?

I’m sure that’ll go well over here

  2. I’ve gone back to ordering direct from the restaurant itself where possible. Much cheaper and less fuck ups.

  3. The $3.9 billion will be delivered an hour late, to the wrong address, half missing and Deliveroo will get a blurry photo as proof of delivery.

  4. After trump became a dickhead (which frankly he always was one) I am much more aware of what I consume and honestly didn’t use delivero anyways, but now since it’s American company, I guess I won’t use it just because of that.

  5. As someone who is trying to cut on their use of American products (I know, I know, typed from Reddit… step by step!) and lose a couple of kg, this is doubly appreciated!

  6. I was pretty reluctant to use Deliveroo to begin with given some bad experiences. Now that they are American owned, goodbye for good.

  7. I’ve completely stoped using Deliveroo since I decided to not be such a fat fool about a year ago and that the business is incredibly predatory but if this goes through and for some strange reason I decide I want delivery to my door, I’ll use just eat.

  8. Does Uber eats operate here?

Never used doordash or delivery but have used Uber eats in the US and it’s a brilliant service.

You get a 1% credit every time you use uber over there so bank that and can use for discounts off food or future travelling requirements.

That makes more sense to me than having a separate app and service as the transport infrastructure is already in place.

Also live outside deliveroo’s area so even if I wanted to use them I can’t, whereas uber do operate here

  9. “Those Micks are willing to pay _how much_ for a house/utilities/pint/chicken sandwich? Quick, get into that market!”

  10. Oh look an American Company buys out a company with already exploitative business model.

    What can go wrong?

  11. Lads can we SERIOUSLY stop using this robbery app?
Why are we letting them come in, pay their drivers half nothing, double the price of our takeout? They are the most parasitic business model out there. And in the end your food tastes worse because by the time it arrives its stale tfuck

  12. I only ring or just get off my hole and get it myself.
