  1. My bet is that SPD backbenchers torpedoed the first vote as a way to voice Thier displeasure over yet another Black-Red coalition which will continue to erode their reputation as the workers party

  2. What are these comments? Propaganda bots are on a roll today

  3. Lot of month old accounts flooding the ‘new’ posts on r/europe recently 🤔

  4. What was the point of voting no if you are going to vote yes a few hours later? In the times we are living in you can’t have these theatrics.

  5. I’m afraid he will not be able to shake off the stain of this poor start to his chancellorship.

  6. Supposedly with the backing of some Green and Left party votes that didn’t want this clowm show to drag on for days or weeks.

  7. is that now good or bad? I didn’t follow German politics really recently

  8. Non euro here, can someone explain if this is good for European security?

  9. Big relief.. love from the Netherlands!

Edit . Lol.. down votes from the Putin puppet and bots

  10. What did they say/do to convince the no-voters to vote yes? Or maybe some no-voters voted no because they thought he would get elected anyway and wanted to show symbolistic discontent and then changed their vote after they saw he really didnt get elected?

  11. Pistorius staying on as defense minister is such good news!

  12. Maybe the MPs are just lazy or stupid.

Here in Slovenia a law suggested by the opposition passed last year because coalition MPs thought it wouldn’t pass anyway and couldn’t be arsed to press the right button when voting. Then they launched a parliamentary enquiry about compromised voting machines and suggested that they got hacked.

  13. It’s good that there was no crisis. I hope he will be a strong leader who will be able to unite Europe against Russia.

  14. A win is a win, no matter how media wants to spin it. Thank goodness the rest of the world continues fighting the bullshit. 🙏

Fuck Elon and his propaganda bots.

Fat fucking prick — Vance can also shove a fork up his ass when he’s done stuffing his face today.

    Sincerely,

    Dude from America 🇺🇸

  15. As an American that doesn’t know shit is this good or bad for Germany

  16. And thank fuck for that, the only one who gained anything by that pathetic Spiel this noon was the AfD, Nazi Pieces of Junk such as they are.

  17. Without agreement from non government parties (here green and left party) there would not have been a second vote today. Merz’ CDU has had a no cooperation pact (“Unvereinbarkeitsbeschluss”) with the left party in the past and while he cannot overrule Unvereinbarkeitsbeschluss by himself there were reports that he promised them exactly that. This is definitely not a solid start into a stable government period as this whole process today has never even happened in Bundestag history
