UK aims to quadruple offshore wind power in renewable energy push

  1. Not this again. What happens when we have another winter with little wind? What’s going to charge up the electric vehicles?

Hydro and deep geothermal look like better and more balanced options going forward, but I guess the Tories don’t have their hands in those pockets?

  2. They say by 2030 and that’s not happening. It’s 2022 now and we can see the planned wind farms for the next couple of years and it’s so far from the rate needed to build 4x by 2030.

This isn’t new either, Johnson already said this ages ago, like well over a year, so it’s not like we can say the whole “well it’s only been a week give them time to plan more locations”.

Would be nice to have that amount by 2030 but doubt.
