The Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and the National Office of Social Insurance of the Republic of Moldova signed the Memorandum of Cooperation, Ministry of Health reported.
The document was signed by Giorgi Chanturia, Head of the Agency and Elena Tibirna, Director of the National Office of Social Insurance of the Republic of Moldova.
The Memorandum outlines cooperation between state institutions and aims to foster partnership in social protection and pension provision. Specifically, the parties will collaborate—within the scope of their respective competencies and national legislation—on the following: improving pension-related legislation, promoting new approaches and reforms in the sector, utilizing information and communication technologies and electronic services based on innovative practices, and strengthening the social protection of persons with disabilities.
The Memorandum also highlights the importance of preventing fraud and malpractice within the social assistance system.
