1. Reporters reached out to all 53 GOP senators after the president said he didn’t know whether he needs to honor the nation’s founding document. None replied.

11. Ambiguity allows for plausible deniability. This is the way Trump communicates. It allows him to blame someone else and not take responsibility. He did that during the January 6th attack on the Capitol building. He didn’t directly instruct the rioters to try to stop the counting of the electoral votes. But he messaged his desires to them in an ambiguous way.

22. The American/US Constitution is not something that could be considered as “Optional.” Especially not when Trump is supposed to honour and uphold it because he’s President.
