Chisinau will host, for the first time, an international conference dedicated to the future of finance in emerging markets, organized by the central banks of Moldova, Romania and France, IPN reports.
The event will take place on September 19 and will bring together international experts, policymakers and researchers to discuss the challenges and opportunities of applying emerging technologies in traditional financial markets, the National Bank of Moldova announced.
The conference, organized in a hybrid format, aims to explore how innovative solutions can transform the financial infrastructure in emerging economies, contributing to the development of modern markets connected to global trends, the NBM’s press release said.
The Deputy Governor of the NBM, Mihnea Constantinescu, emphasized that “this is a unique opportunity to bring together global expertise and local needs to build a robust, efficient and inclusive financial sector”.
The event will include panel discussions focusing on financial policy and research papers, providing a platform for dialog between mature and emerging markets, with a focus on the Eastern European context.
The use of artificial intelligence for market surveillance and risk management, the digital transformation of traditional banking services will be debated.
