What do we think? It seems like a great idea, but will the concept work well? Only time, will tell.

  1. If the pupils have been part of the process, as the article seems to indicate, it has a good chance of being positive and accepted by the pupils. There are other schools where it has been a positive thing, when pupils and pupil councils have been part of implementing it.

I’m a teacher … on my phone 😀. But not in a class at present and no kids around. I do think it would help kids if all teachers stayed off their phones in classrooms and corridors etc.

  2. Great.  Think of them like the portable games consoles they are and the both the problem and the solution become obvious.

  3. I am in two minds about this:

    a) Phones are an annoying distraction in the classroom, everyone spends too much time on them, and they can be a vector for bullying

    b) Being able to record how teachers and other pupils behave can be necessary for accountability

  4. Seems like an obvious step towards stopping the brain rot. All in favour.

  5. If the kids are involved in the decision then it’s good

  6. No no and no

I’ve seen a lot of shit about these from schools they’re used in in America

These schools are spending absorbent amounts of money for something that just pisses off both Pupils, Parents and teachers
