    Not only that, just yesterday it was confirmed that Serbia will receive 111 Million Euros as a part of Growth Plan and Reform Agenda of Serbia, by the EU.

    How long are they going to keep giving money to this tyrant, despite everyting he is doing?

  2. Honestly, this is more a matter for propaganda use in Serbia than it has any international significance. Serbia has already sided with Ukraine anyway (it exports heavy weapons to Ukraine and votes against Russia in all international institutions).

    All public universities in the country have been blocked for over six months, professors are not receiving salary. We’ve had over 2,000 protests, each with thousands of people, with the largest one drawing between 300,000 and 500,000 participants in a single day (during which the government used a military sonic weapon to disperse the crowd).

    Universities are demanding parliamentary elections, but the government is not responding.

    If you’re wondering what the alternative to him is in Serbia, well, besides the existing opposition, universities are preparing a list of 250 experts in their respective fields for the next elections.
    This list is neither pro- nor anti-EU, but it strongly aligns with EU values such as freedom of the press, the fight against corruption, environmental protection, and working toward peace with our neighboring countries.

  23. Honestly putting sanctions on Vucic and his cronies would resolve this pretty quickly. A lot of his “businessman” buddies would be hit really hard if the sanctions would be imposed on them.

    They would not he able to pay their henchmen as easily, plus if they couldn’t enter EU…

    Thanks, honestly if you asked me 7 months ago, I’d tell you protests of this size, and with these ideals would be impossible in Serbia, but incredibly students have removed all the fear people had. I’d say the nation is united more than ever, and for a good cause actually.

    And for your last statement, I don’t really think we can go back to being this conservative like the elders are now. Simply because internet has taken over as a place to inform yourself. Vucic lost the war on the internet, they have not been able to hide anything, as there are several pages on instagram where ordinary people are basically reporters.
