Not only that, just yesterday it was confirmed that Serbia will receive 111 Million Euros as a part of Growth Plan and Reform Agenda of Serbia, by the EU.
How long are they going to keep giving money to this tyrant, despite everyting he is doing?
Honestly, this is more a matter for propaganda use in Serbia than it has any international significance. Serbia has already sided with Ukraine anyway (it exports heavy weapons to Ukraine and votes against Russia in all international institutions).
Just freeze their EU negotiations like we did with Turkey’s. End their pre-accession funds. Stop supporting shitty dictators.
May be stop paying him and let him rely on Moscow then ? Time to take away the carrot and present the stick.
Well. Time for the EU to put weight behind their words, and close completely further adhesion negotiation, block future funds, along with reclaiming already invested funds (as they do for EU funded scientific projects if you fail to comply with your plan).
That would send a clear message to all countries led by pro ruzzian gvt.
Reminds me of my favorite russian joke:
A bear walks through a forest, sees a burning car.
He climbs inside and burns to death.
Didn’t he get sick recently?
Polls show that his party is at a historic low here in Serbia, and he is making desperate moves.
All public universities in the country have been blocked for over six months, professors are not receiving salary. We’ve had over 2,000 protests, each with thousands of people, with the largest one drawing between 300,000 and 500,000 participants in a single day (during which the government used a military sonic weapon to disperse the crowd).
Universities are demanding parliamentary elections, but the government is not responding.
He is trying to gain legitimacy through support from officials in other countries.
I can understand Putin offering support, they are both autocrats, but I don’t understand why EU officials, like Macron, are giving him support and legitimizing his hold on power here:
If you’re wondering what the alternative to him is in Serbia, well, besides the existing opposition, universities are preparing a list of 250 experts in their respective fields for the next elections.
This list is neither pro- nor anti-EU, but it strongly aligns with EU values such as freedom of the press, the fight against corruption, environmental protection, and working toward peace with our neighboring countries.
The fall of Vučić wouldn’t significantly impact major global politics, such as the EU-Russia conflict, but it would bring stability to the Balkan region and move Serbian society closer to countries like Slovenia.
So, fingers crossed that the Ukrainian drones hit the targets.
Ukrainian Surprise gifts anyone
Why EU should care about serbia, they are not in EU and they should forget about even posibility be there.
And just like always the warnings will remain just warnings and no real consequences will come from it, proving to him yet again he can just do what he wants and ignore the EU leaders’ empty words
I don’t understand why Serbia loves sucking Russian cock so much
And now make him stay there and everything’s alright
There was never any question of them getting there safely!!
May he stay there and never come back, amen.

The EU needs more teeth to end this circus or it will just keep happening.
Great moment for the students and serbians to seize power
Honestly putting sanctions on Vucic and his cronies would resolve this pretty quickly. A lot of his “businessman” buddies would be hit really hard if the sanctions would be imposed on them.
They would not he able to pay their henchmen as easily, plus if they couldn’t enter EU…
Thanks, honestly if you asked me 7 months ago, I’d tell you protests of this size, and with these ideals would be impossible in Serbia, but incredibly students have removed all the fear people had. I’d say the nation is united more than ever, and for a good cause actually.
And for your last statement, I don’t really think we can go back to being this conservative like the elders are now. Simply because internet has taken over as a place to inform yourself. Vucic lost the war on the internet, they have not been able to hide anything, as there are several pages on instagram where ordinary people are basically reporters.
Send him even more money, maybe he’ll turn around.
Serbia: causing european problems like it’s 1914
He’s probably scared. On one side he is obliged to be european. On the other side, his entire career was probably a russian subversive longtime operation to destabilize european countries.
He is the President of a sovereign country. Why would anyone tell him what he can or can’t do? Also, Serbia is not part of the EU.
can’t miss the appraisal meetings with the boss.
News headlines are looking more and more like my future children’s history class notes
Well done, man. You did everything right.
Why have them as members in EU when they obviously sympathize with Russia?
Quick, guys, he’s not home, now’s the time !
This is just a game. His plane landed in Baku and won’t go to Moscow. 😂
Serbia is an independent country, they can do whatever they want. A lot of serbiand died in ww2 so why not?

Despite the warnings and his apparent “ilness,” Serbian president has officially boarded his plane to Moscow.

Please stop doing things like that.
