Its a requirement of the US police to be obese however
ironically choosing to show the point of the movie where they dont go guns blazing through a whole town killing tons of people then having a sea mine explode blowing a load of stuff up… come on now
No luck catching them swans then?
The U.S. police use to be the comedic relief in movies and sometimes the but of the joke. However, there was a point where the police was annoyed with their portrayal in media and threatened Hollywood.
At the time, a lot of actors and actresses, mainly actors were getting caught and arrested in sexual relationships with men, and other crimes. Naturally, money talks and having connections helped, so they were never charged but managers, directors and etc were informed to help cover up potential scandal after scandal.
So the police used this a bargaining chip. Police became badass heroes who could do no wrong and they wouldn’t let the public and media know if an actor got caught.
I believe there’s a Netflix series that showcased how Hollywood worked at that time. It always how lots of famous men – we all know the current names – got away with so much and why their victims couldn’t just come forward.
TL;DR British police know how to have a laugh
British police do seem to me to be better trained overall. In that they seem more able to deescalte dangerous situations and subdue people without summarily executing them.
The cops in movies are far better trained in firearms and conflict resolution than American police. British cops are generally better trained, but we still have useless ones. We also have some very well trained specialists like SCO19 firearms officers
*P. I. Staker, right, piss taker. COME ON!*
UK police – moved swan on with minimal fuss & carried on their day.
US police – tried tactical contact with their SUV patrol cars (taking out 5 innocent motorists & hospitalising their drivers) before starting a shootout that resulted in the death of 7 bystanders (who were all live steaming to tik tok) 3 cops in intensive care (through friendly fire) & the swam escaping.
there is a massive shootout in the movie that’s the bottom example so not that accurate
the greater good
Throw in some hi-vis coats and yeah, you’re not far off.
I have saved a swan and have never drawn my gun so yeah, pretty accurate.
I don’t know but Hot Fuzz was a great movie the other… i don’t know.
This may well be the most accurate thing I have seen on Reddit all day.
They do quite a lot of top picture stuff as it progresses
