Operation Sindoor, India Pakistan War Live Updates: India said on early Wednesday that it has carried out Operation Sindoor hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. India targeted the terror infrastructure from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed, the Indian Army said.

“These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable,” it said.

Indian officials confirmed that nine terror-linked sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK) were targeted.

Officials stressed that the mission was focused, measured, and non-escalatory, and specifically avoided Pakistani military installations. The strikes, executed from within Indian airspace, reflected restraint in both targeting and execution.

Pakistan has since placed its air force jets on high alert, and warned that it would respond at a time and place of its own choosing.

Flight operations impact:
Indian airlines have cancelled their flights from various cities across North India including Srinagar that is shut down for operations in the wake of the armed forces carrying out missile strikes on terror targets in Pakistan.

Additionally, Delhi Airport on Wednesday issued a travel advisory for the passengers due to changing conditions in airspace after the ‘Operation Sindoor.’

IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet and others have issued advisory for flight operations. Amritsar, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, Delhi, Dharamshala are some of the airports across North India where flight operations are impacted after ‘Operation Sindoor.’
