  1. 9 quid for two knickerbockers is criminal.
They used to cost just 1.

  2. I can already hear her mother, and see what she looks like.

  3. I remember the day I found out a 99p wasn’t a 99p anymore. Absolutely criminal.

  4. Say what you like but the girl is right! £9 for two ice creams is bloody criminal!

  5. Seen this so many times but it never fails to crack me up. The accent, the indignation , the word bloody and the way she runs away at the end. Absolute gold.

  6. 99p in 1995 would be £2.00 exactly as of March 2025.

So I really don’t understand why a flake 99 is suddenly £4.50. Should be illegal that.

£6 for one in parts of london. Piss right off.

Can we start a petition for the gov to sort this out?

  7. Yet another cash industry adopted by immigrants

  8. I think we can all relate to this girl. Testify little sister!

  9. What’s with the watermark ad for mental health services? :/

  10. Kids are customers too.

(and she’s right, kids have coins and notes/bills, not card)

  11. Prices aside, card-only ice cream vans are fucking stupid. Your target market is children.

  12. And if they use angelito mix, it is £17.99 for 12L. Or £1.49/L.

That 1Litre at £1.49 becomes 1.6L or ice cream when put through a pump fed machine (spaceman/taylors/carpigiani/electrofreeze etc) (adding air via overrun)

So £1.49 per 1.6L of ice cream. If an ice cream is 100g. That’s 16 servings per Litre. Or 9.3p / ice cream before you add a cone/ toppings

    9.3p

And I found that price in 10seconds from JJ foodservice. Bet I could find it cheaper.

FYI before you say inflation etc. Mix was 1.10-1.20 before covid and inflation
