And what better way to make the most of this long weekend than with the Luxembourg Open Air Festival? This electronic music-themed festival brings together top DJs from Luxembourg and abroad for a weekend of non-stop bangers – with this edition’s line-up looking very promising indeed.

Two new commissioned pieces – Susan Philipsz’ The Lower World and Agnes Denes’ The Living Pyramid – are to be unveiled at Luxembourg’s modern art museum, Mudam, on Thursday, 8 May. Swedish post-punk outfit Viagra Boys, known for their biting lyrics and driving riffs, are set to grace Rockhal this weekend. It’s an early highlight of Luxembourg’s summer lineup, and only the first of many great acts heading this way.

If electronica isn’t your thing, the fourth edition of the Guitar Festival might be the ticket instead. Starting this Saturday, 10 May, you can make the most of competitions, workshops, lectures, and more, all dedicated to the art of classical guitar.

If you want to make the most of the public holiday on Friday – and want to do so with the family – then the San’Up festival might be what you’re looking for. Take part in lots of free, family-oriented activities this Friday in Belval. The weather’s supposed to be nice, so why not?
