Did anyone else notice that the cherry tomato variety had changed this year?

Last year Cherry tomatoes from Coop (Vaud) would come from Vaud (Stoll, Yverdon) or Geneva (UMG). The Geneva ones were always better.

This year, they got bigger, full of water and not tasty.
If you compare to the Ticino ones which look the same as last year’s, you get the picture.

Too bad it isn’t mandatory to declare the variety…

  1. It might just be too early for the Geneva ones, maybe they’ll change later in the season? Or they might have just decided to switch vendors for costs or availability reasons.
