Zagreb’s city centre is about to welcome a new addition to its hotel scene with the arrival of Stellar Boutique Modules.
The new hotel occupies the site of the former Hotel Jadran on Vlaška street, now completely redesigned by the architects of Studio UP.
Its interior and exterior have been transformed, with the space also featuring striking artworks by multimedia artist Silvio Vujičić.
The hotel boasts 48 futuristically designed rooms, a distinctive and immersive interior, a stylish bar, a hidden garden oasis, and an exclusive rooftop terrace offering what may be the most beautiful view in Zagreb. It promises guests a unique blend of relaxation, connection, and entertainment.
More than just accommodation, Stellar Boutique Modules offers a fully personalised experience.
The open, futuristic aesthetic continues throughout the building, creating a dreamlike atmosphere in each modular room.
Guests can enjoy a peaceful escape from the city bustle, gazing at the stars from the rooftop or soaking in the uninterrupted views of the Zagreb Cathedral—destined to become one of the city’s most iconic postcard images.

“The opening of Stellar Boutique Modules marks another key step in the strategic development of Maistra Hospitality Group and our growing presence in Zagreb. Over the past few years, we’ve invested more than €140 million into projects that have transformed the city’s hotel landscape—from the distinctive lifestyle hotel Zonar Zagreb, to Marriott’s Sheraton Zagreb Hotel, and the contemporary Hotel International. Stellar Boutique Modules, which will be part of the Maistra City Vibes brand, continues this vision—offering authentic, high-quality, and innovative experiences tailored to modern travellers while enriching Zagreb’s tourism offering,” said Tomislav Popović, President of the Management Board at Maistra.
The rooftop is expected to become a sought-after venue for private events and celebrations. Meanwhile, the hotel’s all-day eatery concept caters to both leisure and business guests, including busy explorers who prefer to spend their days discovering the city.

Ideally situated between the Upper and Lower Town, just a few minutes from the main square, the hotel is a perfect base for experiencing Zagreb’s landmarks.
“Stellar Boutique Modules delivers a near weightless experience in its rooms. The accommodation modules are monochromatic and formed from a single material—you’re quite literally floating in white. Guests are in ‘zoom-out’ contact with sweeping city centre views—towards the Cathedral and Šalata—and in ‘zoom-in’ connection with ceiling ‘frescoes’ designed by our long-time collaborator Silvio Vujičić. These works, depicting human forms freed from gravity, enhance the sense of lightness and suspension,” explained Toma Pleić from Studio UP.
The hotel’s branding and visual identity were developed in collaboration with Damir Gamulin and Nenad Vukušić.
