Outgoing CMO Dr Tony Holohan is availing of an “open-ended secondment” to take-up the job as Prof of Public Health Strategy + Leadership at TCD. A spokesperson said it will be “funded by the Dept of Health… under the same terms and conditions of his existing contract.” @rtenews

1. Well, this is rather cosy. One leaves a job, and that job continues to pay you full salary, pension and benefits on the off chance that you may or may no be asked your opinions at a later date whilst being paid a full salary in your new post. Ffs Ireland is mental.
