Hello everyone!
I’m interested why the amount of Covid cases in Germany is so high last days, comparing to other European countries.
As the [NYT map](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/world/germany-covid-cases.html) says, the BA.2 wave in the UK, France, and Italy is lower than the original BA.1 one. In Germany, the situation differs. I was perplexed finding it out.
What provoced that?
