Malta resists EU pressure to stop selling citizenship

That’s racist. Will they issue the same opinion about refugees?

It’s against the spirit of the EU to condemn people to their place of birth and their borders. Instead it should be cheap and accessible for everyone to access another passport. It should be impossible for people with shady background though, and it should come with the requirement to reside in the country for an amount of time.

That said, Malta is the worst of all the countries that do that. I have terrible experience with their banks and services, they are elitist and treat you like trash if you are not super-rich.

  2. Golden visa shouldn’t lead always to citizenship (I think its after 5 years) but permanent residentship is good for someone that invests, creates and preserve lets say ie 10 permanent full-time jobs.
