The Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, hosted the 2025 Nevada Business Hall of Fame event, celebrating influential business leaders in Las Vegas and their contributions to the local community.
This year’s honorees included Bob Arum and the late Elaine Wynn. Bo Bernhard, president of the UNLV Foundation, highlighted their impact.
“So tonight we’re celebrating people like Bob Arum, who’s a founding father of the sports moment that Las Vegas now resides in,” said Bernhard. “Right, this is the sports capital of the world, and it is because of the likes of Bob Arum.”
Bernhard also praised Elaine Wynn, saying, “Similarly, Elaine Wynn, of course, was an individual who dreamed up the modern that we’ve become so famous for, that we’ve exported to six continents all over the world, and we’re celebrating her business. So this really is the Mount Rushmore of Las Vegas.”
Wynn’s family attended the event and accepted the honor on her behalf.
