TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Tourism in the Tri-Cities region has seen remarkable growth, according to new research from Tourism Economics.
Tourists spent over $643 million in Benton and Franklin counties, Visit Tri-Cities reported.
Nearly 4 million visitors explored the Tri-Cities, contributing to a total of $1.1 billion in business spending. Key sectors benefiting from this tourism boom included food and beverage, retail, and hotels.
The food and beverage sector saw more than $146 million spent, while retail and hotels received $144 million and $133 million, respectively.
This significant influx of tourism dollars highlights the Tri-Cities as a thriving destination for travelers.
